After graduating, Matthew joined BBC Radio Nottingham as a trainee reporter. Since then he has worked for many different stations, including Radio 1 and Capital Radio. In 1996, he was appointed Director of Radio for the BBC, a post which he held until 2000. Matthew has now returned to broadcasting, and hosts shows on various BBC radio stations.
