Since graduating, Carrie went on to train at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She was Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre, London between 2007 & 2012. She was Associate Director at the Young Vic between 2012 & 2013 and the Royal Court between 2013 and 2014. She has also directed multiple productions for the National Theatre.
