Biography

After graduating, Rosie served as Equal Opportunities and Welfare Officer at the University of Nottingham Students’ Union, beginning a career in student wellbeing. She joined Student Minds, the UK’s student mental health charity, in roles managing volunteering, campaigns and training, and became its Chief Executive in 2015.

At Student Minds she oversaw the development of the University Mental Health Charter, a government-backed initiative rewarding universities that take whole-institution approaches to mental health. She was awarded an OBE in the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to mental health in higher education, and has undertaken a Churchill Fellowship exploring preventative approaches to student mental health.
