The cast play three sets of characters, the programme listing each actor’s role in the play alongside their character in “Forbidden Fruit” and their character in the farce.
The programme closes: “Cast and crew wish to thank Winnie the Pooh for showing ‘the way’ to the end of the play. So in his words we choose to conclude: ‘Cottlestone, Cottlestone, Cottlestone pie, / A fly can’t bird, but a bird can fly, / Ask me a riddle and I’ll reply / Cottlestone, Cottlestone, Cottlestone pie.’”
